MC-Squared: Designed real-time firmware for Moog Aircraft Group's Tactical Air Navigation (TACAN) Beacon Simulator for testing on-board TACAN (MIL-STD-291B) installations.  This specialized piece of test equipment was designed around multiple PIC microcontrollers acting as an ACU Timebase Source and Monitor (16F873), Identification and Equalization Pulse Generator (16F873) and random-period Squitter Pulse Generator (12C671), all driving a Video Generator (16F873) output stage with pulse-width, reference delay, power and frequency band controls as well as error-inducement test modes.  This design replaced a decades old design that used 70+ ICs to perform the same tasks with less precision than the PIC-based design.
